Students must choose one of the following essay topics:


1. How did the First World War influence East Asian foreign policy? Provide support for
your answer by referring to concrete examples.


2. What were the economic changes that took place under the British Raj, and how were
these both beneficial and detrimental to India’s future?


3. What made nationalism in Thailand different from that in most other Southeast Asian
countries? Give concrete examples of differences.


4. Examine Korea’s colonial relationship with Japan. Was the Japanese influence of 
modernity a positive gain to Korean society? Why or why not? Refer to concrete examples.


5. What were the reasons for Japan’s economic success between 1950 and 1990?


6. What distinguishes the Deng era from the Mao era in China? In what ways did Deng
adhere to Mao's policies and how did he change them?


日本繋がりで４か５で迷うけど、韓国の話とか面倒くせえし、日本が悪者として書かれてる資料いっぱい読んで気分悪くなりそうだから、５番目かな。

プレゼンも関係あるし、めっちゃラッキーやん。

How does globalisation influence the emergence, development and outcomes of social movements?

Pick one of the following themes and identify a current issue related to that theme.

Examine the strategies utilized by one or more social movements    around that issue.

Themes:

- Environmentalism/sustainability/alternative economic systems

- Agriculture and food systems

- Indigenous movements

- Human rights/humanitarianism

- ICTs, global media and the Internet

- International migration and/or multiculturalism

- Health systems

う～ん、日本人としてIndigenous movementsをやるべきか迷うな。

どうも全てリーディングと関係してるみたいだし、まずはリーディングをやって一番理解できてかつ書けそうなテーマを選ぼう。

スペイン語について

もうね。スペイン語学科、適当すぎてそろそろついていくの辛いわ。
同じ言語の中国語と教え方とサポートに差がありすぎ、、、

このまま２年生でもスペイン語やってたらいつか落としそう。
とりあえず、今期はまだ大丈夫だけど、来年から違う科目取ろうかなって。

出来れば今学期、終わったらスペイン語検定受けて、もうスペイン語の勉強はこのへんにしようかと思ってます。


正直、将来、仕事に繋げる気もないし、旅行程度なら今のレベルで十分だから、もういいでしょ。


言語は使い続けないと劣化が激しいから、将来のビジョンが見えないスペイン語はここらが潮時だと思うのです。
